Bij Aperture verschijnt binnenkort een heruitgave van een klassieker: The Ballad of Sexual Dependency van Nan Goldin. In dit visuele dagboek dat voor het eerst in 1986 verscheen, legt ze haar zoektocht naar vriendschap en intimiteit op een indringende manier vast. Goldin zelf schreef over deze serie: "Real memory, which these pictures trigger, is an invocation of the color, smell, sound, and physical presence, the density and flavor of life." En zo komt het nu, zelfs ruim 25 jaar later, nog steeds over.
